Reduced Learning Curve

In the normal course of events there is a huge block inbetween the initial decision to "Do a website" and the blazing moment of wonder when one's first words are published to the internet. This block is brought on by the too too large learning curve that stands between the total newbie and the those first published words.

Wnki gives the web-decorator a pathway into webpublishing that does not require so much upfront training. You are not prevented from delving into those mysteries in your own good time. However, they are set aside so that they do not stand in the way of your web publishing.

The skill level of a full fledged Web-Decorator is very high. Unfortunately many programs require that one be pretty much full fledged before anything of any significance can be accomplished. Even putting up a page with a message as simple as "Hello World" requires <html>, <body>, Hello World </body>, </html>. This is the simplest possible webpage. If you wanted a menu, and colored text, and a logo, and anything much that looked decent you'd be beyond the simple confusion of <html> into mysteries of mysteres.

The skills required to begin work with Wnki are those same skills that are used for your day to day browsing: point, click and type. If you can type, and if you can point to a hot link and click on it you have all that's necessary to get started.

No Glass Ceiling

Some programs lower the bar so that a newbie can get started. But they extract a heavy price for this help -- you are forever restricted from moving past newbie into elementary, intermediate and advanced. You can get started but then you are held back. So were they lowering the bar to help the newbie get started or where they lowering the bar to maximize sales of some product or situation?

Wnki gets you started without imposing an artifical upper limit to what you may do. If you like you can post content to the web with zero knowledge of HTML. Or, as you pick up bits and pieces of HTML coding you may use them for changing font colors, adding paragraph breaks, inserting graphics, linking any where you desire, creating tables, and much, much more. The more you learn the more you can use.
